Infection Control

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office.

Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.

Due to COVID-19 you may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. Some of these changes include the following:

  • When entering the building a face mask is required regardless of vaccination status.
  • At this time, we are limiting the number of patients in the office. We are allowing 1 person to accompany the patient. That person must go back to the room with the patient or wait in the car. They will not be allowed to wait in the waiting room.
  • You will see that our waiting room is now open. There is limited seating available. All chairs are spaced 6 feet apart to practice social distancing.
  • You will have to sign a consent form confirming you do not have any COVID-19 symptoms.
  • We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office.
  • Before you are taken back to the operatory the assistant or hygienist will take your temperature.
  • Prior to procedures/cleanings you will be instructed to do a pre-procedural rinse.

*Please note: If you have any symptoms of COVID-19, have a fever of 99.4℉ or higher, or have come in contact with any person(s) who has had a confirmed COVID-19 case within the past 14 days we can NOT see you in our office.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at 717-848-1463.

Sincerely,
